Technology Department

1962

With the approval of the Ministry of Enlightenment and by order No. 133 of the rector of the State Teachers’ Training College, the Department of Labor was established, appointing B. Dorjnyam as its head. This marked the beginning of the historical journey of the current Department of Technology. The department initially included highly skilled and professional teachers such as B. Dorjnyamaa, E. Radnaa, D. Elbeg, D. Gevsheekhuu, S. Sandagdorj, T. Jambal, Ge. Dagva, Ts. Bayar, Ts. Tserenjav, D. Luvsanzundui, and D. Khukhoo.

1963

The department enrolled the first 33 students in the Industrial Education class, which laid the foundation for the current profession of design technology teachers.

1969-2014

Since 1978, it has been training students in General Technical Labor; since 1990, in Labor Education; since 1991, in Technical Crafts; since 2010, in Technology-Design; since 2012, in Technology Teaching; and since 2014, in Design Technology Teaching, all at the bachelor's degree level.

The head of the department is Associate Professor Dr. (Ph.D) G. Chuluunaa. The department includes Professor D. Sereeterdorj, Associate Professor Dr. (Ph.D) P. Tumenkhishig, and teachers B. Bayarjargal, S. Davaa-Ochir, Ch. Battsetseg, and M. Baasanbayar.
