Fine Art Department

The Fine Arts Department was initially established in 1958 through the initiative of academician B. Gonchigdorj as a part of the Physics and Mathematics Division.

1958 – The Fine Arts Department was established on the initiative of Associate Academician B. Gonchigdorj.

1963 – Due to the need to train professional artists in the country, the Painting Department was established. The achievements and advancements in the development of Mongolian fine arts are closely connected with this department.

/Teachers: Ts. Yadamjav, S. Jamts, T. Batchuluun, S. Batchuluun, J. Tumurbaatar, D. Munkhbayar, S. Sukh-Ochir./

Before 1990, this school had trained more than 2000 teachers in drawing and labor, as well as artists. Since 1998, it has started enrolling students in Fine Arts and Design Teaching, and since 2005, in Fine Arts Research.

Selenge, Ph.D. candidates and lecturers D. Bulgantuya, N. Ankhbayar, O. Dorjgotov, E. Batchimeg, and Assistant A. Sundui.
